Includes photos of Emmett Till and participants from the trial surrounding Emmett Till's murder, photos of lynching and hate crimes, photos show events surrounding the Montgomery Bus Boycott, the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court case, the Little Rock school integration crisis of 1957, the Albany Movement, Civil Rights activists and protestors, Birmingham, Alabama, Selma, Alabama and the events surrounding the Selma to Montgomery Voting Rights March and Bloody Sunday, the University of Mississippi, Freedom Summer, the Freedom Rides, the Voting Rights Act, voter registration in Lowndes County, the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, and the 1968 Democratic National Convention.
Also contains portraits of Civil Rights era figures including Martin Luther King, Jr. and associates, Malcolm X, Fannie Lou Hamer, Medgar Evers, Myrlie Evers, Bayard Rustin, John Lewis, Rosa Parks, Virginia Durr, Joseph DeLaine, Z.
