Box 03 - Contains Wesley Jones' files. Includes stock footage research materials, gathered from various archives, libraries, and museums.

Box 04 - Contains Sam Pollards files. Includes articles and book excerpts related to Race Records, Black Swan Label, Harlem Renaissance, Claude McKay, Oscar Micheaux, George Johnson, new Black Cinema, Clef Club, "A Life in Europe" by Reid Badger, Maulana Ron Karenga, Ma Rainet & The Classic Blues Singers, Louis Armstrong, Zora Neale Hurston, Kenny Clark, John Coltrane, black dance, Janet Collins, Sidney Bechet, black literature, production notes, treatment drafts, articles, photocopy of book on Mahalia Jackson, meetings, lists of interviewees, issue of Dance/USA Journal, "I'll Make Me a World" one page summary, "school"  (pre-production educational sessions for producers in which experts on relevant subject matters, including scholars and actual participants in the events related to the series, were brought in to speak during a 3-day workshop) participants and series advisors, outreach proposal,  materials related to the series' development, including an annotated proposal, correspondence with potential advisors and internal memorandums.
