Includes a group portrait of black soldiers carrying a wounded man from a helicopter in Vietnam: a group portrait of black and white members of the 7th Infantry Regiment in Korea taken in January 1952. An individual portrait of PFC William Weatherly in Vietnam in May 1970; and a North Korean prisoner being led away by a group of black soldiers in Korea in July 1950. Also has several photos of African American soldiers during the World War II era, including a group portrait of black aviators taken in 1943 and a group portrait of U.S. airmen at a U.S.O. club in South Dakota in April 1944.
