Documentary about the World War II battle for San Pietro, a small village in Italy, concentrating on the soldiers of the 143rd infantry regiment, which lost 12 of its 16 tanks in the bloody battle. Over 1,100 U.S. soldiers were killed while trying to take this German-occupied village. Some of the footage for San Pietro was filmed during the battle. Also includes footage of the same soldiers relaxing in the hours before they fought and died.
