"Observes that regulation of single muscle fiber contractions is achieved through a relationship between muscle fibers and nerve impulses. Experiments with microelectrodes attached to an oscilloscope show that an electrical event precedes contraction by a very brief interval and that this stimulus activates an "all-or-none" response.
